Have you ever wondered how research and technology translate into medical discoveries? Translational research is a process, it involves applying knowledge of biological science and laboratory techniques to address medical needs. I am a research technician at a start-up biotech company, Remedy Plan Therapeutics. Our goal is to develop the first non-toxic compounds that specifically target metastatic properties of cancer.

I created Lab Notes to share my perspective of what it is like to work in a start-up atmosphere & provide a glimpse of the laboratory science that drives research and discovery. I’ve always felt that one of the most rewarding aspects of science is sharing the process & journey with people. Science can be an overwhelming subject; my goal is to make science digestible to you.
